By BEA MICALLER

Reigning world champion Echo continued to live up to the expectations, pulling off another sweep victory as it exacted revenge on Bren Esports, 2-0, on Day 2 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 11 on Saturday.

Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya (Benedetta) led the Orcas' Game 1 outing with the 16-year-old EXP laner showing off Echo's signature backdoor play as they finished off Bren in 17 minutes. For that, Sanford claimed the MVP honors before they needed only the same amount of time to beat Bren in Game 2 to complete a sweep.

Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales finished with five kills and eight assists against one death on his Harith in Game 2 to help Echo get back at Bren, who defeated them during their semifinals clash in the Sibol national team qualifiers for the SEA Games.

The win allowed Echo to take a solo lead in the standings with a 2-0 win-loss card while Bren dropped to 0-1.

Onic Philippines made its season debut with a bang as it defeated Omega Esports, 2-1, behind roamer Jefferdson "Kekedoot" Mogol who unleashed two kills and eight assists on his Kaja during the crucial Game 3.
