Espejo scores 19 but FC Tokyo falls to JTEKT in five-setter; Bagunas, Santiago suffer losses in V.League action

Marck Espejo and the FC Tokyo club still could not break in the win column after suffering another loss against the JTEKT Stings, 25-17, 22-25, 23-25, 27-25, 15-11 on Sunday in the Japan V.League.

Espejo dropped 19 points on 18 attacks and a block in the losing effort.

FC Tokyo is still winless in four games, and will face the Wolfdogs Nagoya next weekend.

Earlier, both Bryan Bagunas and Jaja Santiago suffered straight sets losses in V.League action.

Bagunas and the Oita Miyoshi lost to the Wolfdogs, 25-23, 25-23, 25-22, with the Filipino player scoring 12 points on nine attacks, two blocks, and a service ace for their third loss in four games.

Santiago and the Ageo Medics, meanwhile, lost to JT Marvelous, 25-23, 25-18, 25-20 to absorb their second loss in the season. Santiago was limited to just four points in the game.

Oita will face Toray Arrows while Ageo will go against the PFU Bluecats next weekend.
