Philippines falls to Vietnam in straight sets to absorb 2nd loss in ASEAN Grand Prix

The Philippines absorbed its second loss in the 2022 ASEAN Grand Prix after falling to Vietnam, 25-12, 25-16, 25-16, on Saturday in Thailand.

Vietnamese star Tran Thi Thanh Thuy led the rout against the Creamline-bannered squad with 13 points, while Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh and Pham Thi Nguyet Anh had 9 and 8 points, respectively.

Tots Carlos had 11 points to lead Team Philippines in scoring.

The national team will have a chance to bag the third place in the tournament when it faces Indonesia on Sunday.
