Chery Tiggo clinches semis berth at Army's expense; Creamline shuts down Akari

The Chery Tiggo Crossovers booked a semifinals slot after surviving the United Auctioneers Inc.-Army, 22-25, 25-18, 25-27, 25-18, 15-12, on Thursday in the 2022 PVL Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

Mylene Paat tallied 23 points for the Crossovers, while import Jelena Cvijovic listed 19 points to go unbeaten in five games.

Royse Tubino listed a game-high 24 points, while reinforcement Laura Condotta made 21 points for UAI-Army in their fourth straight loss.

Earlier, the Creamline Cool Smashers shut down the Akari Chargers, 23-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-21 to notch their fourth straight win.

Reinforcement Yeliz Basa had 18 points, while Ced Domingo and Jema Galanza chipped in 14 and 12 points, respectively.

PVL games will return on Saturday in Sta. Rosa, Laguna where Cignal HD will go against Choco Mucho, while F2 will face Petro Gazz.
