A cargo plane made an emergency landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Thursday afternoon, after losing part of its landing gear shortly after takeoff. The twin-engine cargo plane sought permission from the control tower to make an emergency landing at about 1:35 p.m., radio dzBB reported. Citing an initial information from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, the dzBB report said the plane had just taken off from NAIA and was heading for Busuanga when the crew learned the right landing gear fell off. The captain reportedly advised the NAIA that the plane's right tire fell off. Despite missing one set of wheels, the crew managed to land the plane safely at the NAIA's Runway 1331, the report said. — LBG, GMA News
