Navotas gov't to deliver maintenance meds to seniors amid lockdown

Senior citizens in Navotas City would receive their maintenance medicines at their doorsteps to help them through the enhanced community quarantine due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat, according to Mayor Toby Tiangco.

Among the medicines to be delivered were losartan, simvastatin, metformin, and amlodipine.

The mayor said the initiative was launched to ensure that the elderly, who were more vulnerable to COVID-19, would no longer have to go outside to get their medications.

As of April 9, there were 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Navotas City with two fatalities. There were currently 64 persons under investigation and 103 persons under monitoring. — DVM, GMA News
