Parañaque stops COVID-19 mass testing for Chinese citizens

The local government of Parañaque has stopped a mass testing for COVID-19 among Chinese citizens at a subdivision in the city.

According to Katrina Son's report on "24 Oras," the mass testing of around 200 to 300 Chinese was conducted without a permit from the City Health Office.

The people behind the had rented a Department of Health-approved laboratory for the testing which was conducted in an open area.

"Nagulat po kami na wala pong notification ang city, walang permit na kinuha sa City Health Office, nabalitaan lang po namin," Mayor Edwin Olivarez.

"Immediately nu'ng nalaman po natin, pinapuntahan po natin ng ating City health Office po 'yan kasama ang ating police po doon at pinatigil po natin 'yun," he added.
