CCTV shows PDEA agents identifying selves to cops in Commonwealth shootout

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency identified themselves as law enforcers during a lull in the shootout with members of the Quezon City Police District at the parking lot of a fastfood restaurant on Commonwealth Avenue on Wednesday, fresh CCTV footage obtained by GMA News showed.

In John Consulta's exclusive report on "24 Oras", at least one PDEA agent was seen flashing what appeared to be his badge. The agents were also heard shouting that they were PDEA members.

At least four persons -- two policemen, a PDEA agent, and a PDEA informant -- were killed in the shootout between government agencies last week.

Both the QCPD and the PDEA have claimed that they were at the scene on legitimate anti-drug operations. 

President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the National Bureau of Investigation to look into the case. -NB, GMA News
