Metro Manila to impose 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew starting August 6


The National Capital Region will extend the curfew from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. starting August 6, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairperson Benhur Abalos said Monday.

"Starting August 6, magiging 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. po ang curfew  (the curfew will be from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.)," he said at the Palace briefing.

The curfew were shortened to 12 midnight to 4 a.m. last June 15.

Metro Manila is currently under a general community quarantine “subject to heightened and additional restrictions” until August 5, 2021.

This will be followed by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) which will be in place from August 6 to August 20, 2021 in light of the rising cases of COVID-19 and threat of the more transmissible Delta variant.—AOL, GMA News
