Over 19,000 violators recorded in NCR amid Alert Level 3 —PNP

A total of 19,014 quarantine violators have been recorded in the National Capital Region since the implementation of Alert Level 3 as of Sunday, data from the Philippine National Police showed Monday.

In an update, the PNP said 11,125 violators were newly reported on Sunday.

Around 57% of the violators were warned, 36% were fined, while 8% faced other sanctions, according to the PNP.

A total of 13,831—with 8,273 that are newly reported—have violated the minimum public health standards in NCR amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

For curfew, a total of 5,058 violators including 2,809 that are newly reported were recorded in Metro Manila.

A total of 125 who are not considered authorized persons outside residence (APORs) were also caught outdoors.

Starting October 16, Saturday, until October 31, the NCR is under Alert Level 3.

Under Alert Level 3, several establishments will be allowed to operate at 30% indoor venue capacity only for fully vaccinated individuals and 50% outdoor venue capacity, provided that all employees are fully vaccinated.

Curfew in Metro Manila has been shortened to 12 midnight to 4 a.m. starting October 13. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
