Quiapo Church releases schedule of localized Traslacion

The Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene, more commonly known as the Quiapo Church, announced the schedule of the localized Traslacion which will be held from the last week of December this year up to January 2022.

Parochial vicar Fr. Douglas Badong said localized Traslacion events will be held in various areas instead of the traditional Traslacion to prevent the big volume of devotees converging in Manila on January 9, the feast day of the Black Nazarene, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a report on GMA News' Unang Balita on Wednesday.

The traditional Traslacion, a procession of the Black Nazarene image which starts from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church, usually draws millions of devotees.
