Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach reopens to public on December 28-29, 2021

The Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach opened its gates on Tuesday to visitors wanting to see the artificial beach for themselves.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) said the dolomite beach in Manila will be open for two days, from December 28 to 29, according to a report by Mai Bermudez on GMA News' Unang Balita on Tuesday.

It will then be closed for the New Year, then again open on January 4, 2022.

Visitors would have to register online first via the DENR Manila Bay Dolomite Beach Appointment System at https://denrncrsys.online a day before, and not earlier.

Successful registrants will receive an email from the DENR confirming their appointment.

The online appointment system was employed to prevent overcrowding.

The DENR said children aged 11 years old and below are not allowed at the dolomite beach.

The available slots for visits are as follows:

• 6:30-7:30 a.m.
• 8:00-9:00 a.m.
• 9:30-10:30 a.m.
• 11:00 a.m.-12:00 nn
• 1:30-2:30 p.m.
• 3:00-4:00 p.m.
• 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The DENR reminded visitors to bring their vaccination cards, wear face masks, and observe social distancing.

It said food and drinks are not allowed. 

Likewise, it will not allow pets inside.

Swimming, vaping or smoking, and littering are prohibited, the DENR said. 

On Tuesday morning, there were just a few visitors seen at 7 a.m., unlike the voluminous crowds that were last seen in October. —KG, GMA News
