Pasig unable to open more vaccination sites due to lack of manpower — Mayor Vico

 

 

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Friday announced that the city cannot open additional vaccination sites due to lack of personnel, adding that most of the city’s health personnel are under quarantine.

Vico said the city’s COVID-19 booster shots are still ongoing.

“However, we are unable to open more sites due to the lack of manpower. Many of our health personnel are under quarantine,” he said in a Twitter post.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding during these trying times,” he added.

According to the Pasig City Public Information Office, vaccination sites for booster shots were held in Pasig Mega Parking II, Manggahan High School, and Sagad High School from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday with 1,500 slots.

The available booster shots were Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Sinovac.

Meanwhile, Pasig City recorded 60,578 confirmed cases of COVID-19, while at least 58,025 patients recovered from the viral disease as of Thursday. — RSJ, GMA News
