Fil-Am wanted for illegal importation in US nabbed in Taguig

A Filipino-American fugitive allegedly involved in illegally importing luxury cars abroad was nabbed by the authorities in Taguig City.

According to John Consulta’s “24 Oras” report on Thursday, the Bureau of Immigration's Fugitive Search Unit (BI-FSU) said the suspect faces money laundering and theft by deception charges in the US.

(He used people to apply for a loan for this vehicle and when they got the vehicle, he made a fake document to export it as a luxury vehicle.)

It took the authorities more than a year to locate and arrest the suspect, who had been using fake identities since he arrived in the country in 2019.

(While his deportation case is ongoing, we will also check if there are local cases filed against him.)
