Guard in Mandaluyong hit-and-run incident under observation in ICU

The security guard in the hit and run incident in Mandaluyong City is currently in the intensive care unit of a hospital for medical treatment.

According to Jun Veneracion’s report on “24 Oras” on Monday, Raptor Security Agency (RSA) Managing Director Manuel Fayre Jr. said that victim Christian Joseph Floralde's condition had improved since yesterday.

However, they were still waiting for Floralde’s x-ray results to determine the extent of his injuries.

“Kapag mga bagay na ganyan hindi agad nag-manifest daw ‘yung injuries na natamo ng victim. But he was totally out of danger,” he said.

on Sunday as he was trying to direct traffic at the intersection of Julia Vargas Avenue and St. Francis Street in Mandaluyong at around 4 p.m.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Director for Operations Police Major General Valeriano de Leon said that the owner of the SUV had sent surrender feelers.

In a separate interview with reporters, De Leon said the lawyer of the SUV owner contacted Mandaluyong Police investigators over the hit and run incident.

The owner was expected to coordinate with police regarding the investigation and would appear at the police station at the “soonest possible time.”

The Land Transportation Office-National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) on Monday morning issued a show cause order against the owner of the SUV involved in the incident. The hearing is set for June 7. — DVM, GMA News
