The National Capital Region (NCR) had a slight increase in its daily positivity rate over the past three days, but it was not clear if the positivity rate has already peaked in the region, independent group OCTA Research reported Saturday.

In a tweet, OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David reported that NCR had a daily positivity rate of 17.9% as of Thursday, August 11.

"With slight increases over the past 3 days, it is not yet clear if the positivity rate has already peaked in the NCR, but the trendline looks flat at the moment," David said.

The positivity rate refers to the percentage of people who were found positive for COVID-19 among the total number of individuals tested.

The OCTA Research previously reported that NCR’s one-week positivity rate decreased from 17.4% on August 6 to 15.9% on August 9.
