DSWD-NCR suspends education assistance payout temporarily

Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region announced the suspension on Saturday, August 20, 2022 of the distribution of the educational assistance, after the agency's failure to comply with the health and safety protocols.

Jhomer Apresto reported on dzBB Super Radyo that several beneficiaries waiting in line have complained about the chaotic distribution of the educational cash aid at the DSWD-NCR.

However, Secretary Erwin Tulfo announced on Saturday that the DSWD would  work with local government units (LGUs)

Details of the resumption of the education aid payout will be announced later, the DSWD-NCR said in its Facebook post.  —Sherylin Untalan/LBG, GMA News
