Kin of missing sabungero files complaints vs. farm manager, security officer

The family of Michael Bautista, one of the missing sabungeros, has filed a complaint before the Department of Justice (DOJ) against a farm manager and a security officer at the Manila Arena.

Complainants Ma. Concepcion Bautista and Ryan Bonda Bautista filed the complaints for violation of Article 267 of the Revised Penal Code or or kidnapping and serious illegal detention.

This developed after Bautista was identified by his wife and brother to as the person in a video being handcuffed

by two alleged policemen outside a cockfighting arena in Santa Cruz, Laguna.

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has also released composite sketches of the two suspects following the release of video.

Individuals are also facing complaints of kidnapping and serious illegal detention that were filed by the Philippine National Police and the CIDG.

The PNP initially reported that the missing cockfighting enthusiasts disappeared after participating in a cockfight in Sta. Cruz on January 13. —NB, GMA Integrated News
