Truck makes freak drive-through in pizza outlet in QC

An out-of-control truck made a freak "drive-through" at a pizza outlet in Quezon City, wrecking the establishment's interior before dawn Tuesday. Investigators are looking into whether the driver of the truck fell asleep at the wheel, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported. No one was initially reported injured as the establishment near the C-5 in Libis, Quezon City, was still closed at the time.

"Mula kabilang lane, tumawid siya (at) binangga. Mabilis ho, parang natulog ang driver ata (The truck came from the other side of the road, crossed the dividing lane, and hit the restaurant. It was traveling very fast. The driver likely fell asleep at the wheel)," said a security guard of the establishment. The dzBB report said the driver did not appear hurt in the accident, although the truck destroyed the establishment's glass window. — RSJ, GMA News
