PAGASA: Cold front, ITCZ to bring rain over most of PHL
The diffused tail-end of a cold front and the inter-tropical convergence zone may bring rain to most parts of the country on Tuesday, state weather forecasters said. PAGASA forecaster Gladys Saludes said Metro Manila and the rest of the country may also expect isolated rain showers and thunderstorms. "Inaasahan pa rin natin yan [ambon sa Metro Manila]. [Walang init] lalo doon sa may Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley at western side ng Luzon at Visayas," Saludes said in an interview on dzBB radio. PAGASA's extended outlook said Metro Manila may expect temperatures of 24 to 33 degrees Celsius for Tuesday. It added Tuguegarao City may expect temperatures of 23 to 33 degrees Celsius while Angeles and Olongapo City may expect temperatures of 23 to 32 degrees Celsius. Tuesday outlook PAGASA's 5 a.m. bulletin indicated the diffused tail-end of a cold front is affecting northern Luzon while the ITCZ is affecting Mindanao. "The regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, MIMAROPA, Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms," it said. It added Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon and from the east to southeast over the rest of the country.
