PAGASA: TD Jolina continues west-northwest; rain over Mimaropa, west Visayas
Tropical Depression Jolina maintained its strength and continued to move west-northwest over the West Philippine Sea Tuesday night, state weather forecasters said. PAGASA, in its 11 p.m. advisory, said Jolina was estimated at 350 km west of Subic, Zambales as of 10 p.m. It packed maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and is forecast to move west-northwest at 11 kph. Jolina is forecast to be 600 km west of Subic, Zambales or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday evening. Jolina is expected to bring 5 to 15 mm per hour (moderate to heavy) of rainfall within its 300-km diameter. It added Jolina will enhance the southwest monsoon, which will bring "moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms" over Mimaropa and Western Visayas. — DVM, GMA News
