All system go for ASEAN Summit security –PNP chief
By AMITA LEGASPI,GMA NewsPhilippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa on Friday said it's "all systems go" regarding the security for the ASEAN Summit to be held at Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City on April 26 to 29.
"It is going smoothly, wala akong kaba. Sa nakikita ko, we are very much prepared for this event," Dela Rosa told reporters after attending a contingency planning and tabletop exercise in Pasay City.
"All systems go na, 100-percent systems go," added Dela Rosa, who also inspected the security preparations for the event.
Dela Rosa reiterated that they have not monitored any threat to the event. "So far wala, wala tayong namo-monitor," he said in a separate interview.
National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Oscar Albayalde earlier said they have not monitored any terror threat in Metro Manila but they are preparing for crime incidents and monitoring threat groups.

The 10 leaders of ASEAN member-countries are expected to attend the summit on April 29.
Work suspension was also declared on April 27 but only for government offices in Manila, Makati, and Pasay cities. Suspension of classes in these cities, however, will be up to school officials. —KBK, GMA News
