With Bong Go resigned, ex-Davao City admin named Duterte’s OIC special aide

President Rodrigo Duterte has named the temporary replacement for Christopher "Bong" Go, who resigned last month as the chief executive's top aide to run for senator in the 2019 midterm elections.

Duterte elevated Undersecretary Jesus Melchor Quitain to officer-in-charge of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President (OSAP), according to the memorandum signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on November 9 but released to the media on Monday.

Quitain has been with the OSAP even before Go quit his post. He was the administrator of the Davao City government when Duterte was still mayor.

Medialdea said Quitain's new assignment is effective immediately. —NB, GMA News
