Robredo says ailing mom in better condition

Vice President Leni Robredo on Saturday announced her mother's improved health condition after earlier it had turned for the worst the day before.

In a Facebook post, Robredo thanked the public for their prayers.

"Thank you all for your prayers. My mom was able to survive a most difficult day. Although she’s still on ventilator, she’s much better today and her vital signs have improved. Still praying for her complete healing," she said.

On Friday afternoon, Robredo posted on her social media account that she rushed home to be with her ailing mother.
