Duque: Zubiri's COVID-19 test result may be 'false positive'

Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri's positive result to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) may not be accurate, according to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III on Tuesday.

Ang mahalaga wala siyang sintomas," he added.

Zubiri on Monday night announced that he received a call from Duque confirming that he tested positive for COVID-19.

He pointed out that he contracted the virus despite taking strict precautionary measures.

Zubiri said he was asymptomatic and is currently undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, Senators Sherwin Gatchalian and Nancy Binay have already tested negative for the virus.
