Most of the members of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Cabinet have committed to donate three-fourths of their salaries to augment the government’s funds in responding and containing the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The Republic Act No. 11469 or the “Bayanihan to Heal as One Act” granted Duterte additional authorities to fight the threat of COVID-19.
Nograles noted that he is among the Cabinet members who will donate part of their monthly salaries.
The Cabinet official also said that members of Duterte’s executive team will donate their monthly wages until December.
Some of the Cabinet members, Nograles added, will donate their salaries until December of this year just to support the anti-COVID-19 programs. -MDM, GMA News
