OVP opens one more dorm for COVID-19 frontliners

The Office of the Vice President opened another dormitory for healthcare workers and other frontliners amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat.

According to Vice-President Leni Robredo, Dorm Nine was in Novaliches, Quezon City.

"Our dorms are open for health workers, medical practitioners and other frontliners such as security guards, and other volunteers in programs related to COVID-19," the vice president said.

Dorm Nine was near the Commonwealth Hospital and Medical Center, the Far Eastern University Hospital-Marian Medical Arts Building, and the Neopolitan General Hospital.

In accordance with social distancing measures, the dorm would operate on a first come, first served basis as space was limited.

"Sincerely thanks to Simplicity Co-living + Co-working, Simplicity Fairview Holdings, Inc., and its managing partners Martin Escalona and Frantz Edward Dy, who worked with us to make this possible," said Robredo.

Frontliners who wished to avail of the service were advised to contact ovpfreedormservice@gmail.com or 0998 591 7408. — DVM, GMA News
