Duterte remembers mother: She was very good to me
By JOVILAND RITA, GMA News President Rodrigo Duterte remembered his mother Soledad during a public address and meeting with Cabinet members on the situation of the country in relation to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Duterte recollected memories of his mother saying that she was a very good mother to him. He also attributed his becoming the country's top leader to her.

Duterte added his late mother might be smiling and in state of wonder looking to his late father Vicente saying: “Anong nagawa natin sa anak natin itong g*gong itong Rodrigo. Bakit…”
Soledad led the yellow movement in Davao during the Martial Law period. She also fought for the rights of the indigenous peoples, a cause that her son Rodrigo also took up when he became mayor.—AOL, GMA News
