Jaen village locked down due to recently discovered COVID-19 case
Nueva Ecija on Saturday implemented a preemptive lockdown in Jaen town's Barangay San Roque after a local vendor who recently died tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
According to a Saturday "24 Oras News Alert," the 47-year-old vendor died on June 23 in a hospital in Malabon City and his remains were brought home for a wake.

The patient's swab test, which came out positive, was only received on Friday.
Authorities disinfected the area where the wake was held, and a contact-tracing effort was started.
