CONDITION REMAINS STABLE

Erap brought back to ICU due to lung infection, says Jinggoy

Former President Joseph Estrada has been brought back to the intensive care unit (ICU) due to a lung infection, his son former senator Jinggoy Estrada said Friday.

“We wish to announce that my father had a slight setback last night as his doctors found a superimposed bacterial lung infection,” the former senator said in a Facebook post.

Jinggoy said his father’s condition remains stable, but he had to be transferred back to a regular ICU “for monitoring and support of his blood pressure which fluctuated due to the said infection.”

“But overall, he is stable with high flow oxygen support,” he said.
