4 applicants shortlisted for Deputy Ombudsman for Military post


Four applicants have been shortlisted to become the next Deputy Ombudsman for the Military and Other Law Enforcement Offices, according to the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC).

President Rodrigo Duterte’s choices include Assistant Ombudsman Jose Balmeo Jr. and Ombudsman Director Beda Epres, as well as lawyers Camilo Correa and Voltaire San Pedro.

Epres earlier made it to the final list of nominees for the post of Deputy Ombudsman for Mindanao.

The names of the shortlisted applicants were submitted to Malacañang.

Former Deputy Ombudsman for the Military and Other Law Enforcement Offices Cyril Ramos ended his seven-year term on June 2, the JBC said.—AOL, GMA News
