Duterte claims presidential aspirant is a cocaine user

President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday said that one of the presidential aspirants in Eleksyon 2022 is a cocaine-user who has yet to accomplish anything.

He also talked about a weak leader who appeared to be banking on the name of the father.

"There is even a presidential candidate na nag-cocaine. May kandidato tayo na nagko-cocaine 'yan. 'Yung anak ng mayaman. Kaya nga nagtataka ako. Anong nagawa ng tao na yan?" Duterte said.

"I am just asking what contribution has he made para sa Pilipinas? 'Yan lang ang gusto kong tanungin," he added.

Duterte said that the candidate's drug habits was something that the wealthy in both Manila and Davao knew.

He indicated that the said candidate had fascinated Filipinos and could win "hands down."

"Nagtataka ako sa Pilipino, di ako naiinggit, pulitika namn, may manalo, may matalo. Ganu'n rin ako noon, kung walang swerte, wala.  Pero itong fascination nila sa itong kandidato na to, baka hindi talaga nila alam," Duterte said.

Duterte warned that the candidate was "a weak leader."

"Inyo 'yan. Ang akin lang pagdating ng panahon,  basta sinabi ko sa inyo. And he is a very weak leader ang character niyan," Duterte said without naming names.

"Except for the name. Ang tatay. Pero siya? Anong ginawa niya? He might win hands down, okay. If that's what the Filipino wants, go ahead. Basta alam ninyo," he added.

Duterte has expressed his support for his longtime aide, presidential aspirant Sen. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go.

His daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is running for vice president in tandem with Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard bearer former Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., the son and namesake of the late dictator.

Other prominent individuals who filed their certificates of candidacy for president include Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Panfilo Lacson, Senator Manny Pacquiao, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, labor leader Leody De Guzman, and Army General Antonio Parlade Jr. -NB, GMA News
