Presidential aspirant and Senator Christopher Bong Go on Wednesday said he is willing to undergo a complete drug test.

“Walang problema sa akin. Anytime. Ayoko lang makipagunahan sa kanila…Kung maaari ‘yung kumpletong drug test na talaga ‘yung pinaka-kumpleto na drug test” Go said in an ambush interview in Caloocan City.

(I have no problem with that. I could take the test anytime. I don't want to race against other aspirants in taking the test. I would be willing to take a complete drug test.)

“Kung gusto mo sabay-sabay tayong lahat e,” he added.

(If they want, we can take the drug test simultaneously.)

Go likewise said he is open to taking a neurological test as he underscored that it is the right of the Filipinos to know if the candidate they are supporting is “fit to lead the country.”

“In fairness sa lahat ng kandidato ayoko po manira, ayoko po magbigay ng pangalan, so patunayan na lang po natin sa kanila eh kung ‘di naman po totoo, wala naman pong napatunayan eh ‘di tapos na po ang usapan,” he said.

(In fairness to all the candidates, I don't want to destroy their reputation. I don't want to drop names, so let us just prove that we are not using drugs. If the claims are not true, then the issue will be put to rest.)

Go also noted the importance of the aspirants’ anti-drug stance as this is one of the campaigns pushed by the Duterte administration.

Last Monday, presidential aspirant Senator Panfilo Lacson and his running mate, Senate President Vicente Sotto III, subjected themselves to voluntary drug testing.

Presidential aspirant and former Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. said Tuesday that he took a cocaine test and submitted the negative result to law enforcement agencies.

Another presidential aspirant, Senator Manny Pacquiao’s camp said he has tested negative twice this year for cocaine and methamphetamine use after taking an anti-dope tests from the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).

The drug tests among Eleksyon 2022 aspirants were done after President Rodrigo Duterte warned voters about a presidential aspirant who is allegedly using cocaine.
