The Commission on Elections' (Comelec) 2nd Division will look into two more petitions filed against former senator Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. 's presidential bid.

According to the "State of the Nation" report, the poll body's 2nd division will handle a petition seeking to cancel Marcos Jr. 's certificate of candidacy and another petition to declare him as a nuisance candidate.

Comelec Commissioners Socorro Inting and Antonio Kho Jr. were assigned to the poll body's 2nd Division.

Prior to the two petitions, the 2nd Division is also tackling a petition seeking to cancel Marcos Jr.'s candidacy that stemmed from material misrepresentation since he declared that he has not been convicted of an offense carrying a penalty of perpetual disqualification from public office.

The petitioners, who are human rights advocates and Martial Law survivors, said Marcos Jr. made fake statements in his COC since the former legislator has been convicted with four counts of violating the Tax Code by the Court of Appeals due to his failure to file income tax returns from 1982 to 1985.
