PNP records 14 new COVID-19 cases, active ones now 52

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday said 14 new COVID-19 cases were recorded among its personnel.

Active cases now number 52, data from the PNP Health Service showed.

Total COVID-19 cases among PNP personnel thus reached 42,285.

Of this number, 42,108 have recovered.

Meanwhile, the death toll remained at 125.

The Department of Health on Saturday said 3,617 new COVID-19 cases were recorded, bringing the total tally to 2,847,486.

The country's active case count is 17,374 of which 673 are asymptomatic, 11,603 are mild, 3,124 are moderate, 1,635 are severe, and 339 are in critical condition.

At least 468 more patients recovered from the viral disease, bringing the total to 2,778,567.

The death toll climbed to 51,545 with 43 new fatalities. —KG, GMA News
