Lacson in isolation after exposure to son with COVID-19

Senator Panfilo Lacson on Tuesday said he is in self-quarantine after exposure to his son, who has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement to reporters, Lacson said he already got tested for the virus, adding that he expects results on Wednesday, January 5.

"Our maid and driver tested positive this morning, a lawyer friend’s whole household also positive. Some relatives also exhibiting symptoms. I got exposed to my son last Sunday. His positive RT PCR test result arrived last night, hence my self-isolation," said Lacson, a presidential aspirant.

"Already informed all those I got in contact with. They’re taking precautions already," he added.

He further asked people to follow basic health protocols and pushed for aggressive mass testing, contact tracing and booster shots. — BM, GMA News
