Comelec: Final list of Eleksyon 2022 bets expected on Jan. 15; printing of ballots may start Jan. 17

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) expects to finalize the list of Eleksyon 2022 candidates by January 15, while the printing of the official ballots might start on January 17.

This was disclosed by Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez during a virtual press conference on Wednesday.

"Ang estimate natin, matatapos ang final ballot faces by January 15 which means 'yun na ang final list of candidates and we hope that we will be able to start printing by January 17," he said.

The poll body is also preparing for a walk through with the officials from the National Printing Office.

So far, the Comelec has listed 10 presidential aspirants, nine vice presidential bets, and 64 senatorial aspirants in its latest tentative list of candidates for Eleksyon 2022. — RSJ, GMA News
