Lacson says some PNoy admin officials could help solve country's woes

Presidential aspirant and Senator Panfilo Lacson on Friday named several Cabinet secretaries of late President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III who he said could help solve the country's problems.

"The late President Aquino had his share of good, capable Cabinet members and economic managers from where a pool may be created to get the country back on its feet — Rene Almendras, Babes Singson, Kim Henares, Johnny Santos, Sonny Coloma, Arsi Balisacan — to name some of them," Lacson said over Twitter.

Almendras served as Cabinet Secretary; Singson as head of the Department of Public Works and Highways, Santos as Social Security System chief, and Henares as head of the Bureau of Internal Revenue. Currently, she is part of Lacson's think tank.

Meanwhile, Coloma headed the Presidential Communications Operations Office and Balisacan the National Economic and Development Authority.

In a statement, Lacson said these former Aquino officials can “play a key role in helping the country get back on its feet.”

He said most of them have good track records in addressing the “humongous problems” of the country.

Lacson had actually served under Aquino. He was named rehabilitation and recovery czar, a post he held from  late 2013 to early 2015, following the massive devastation caused by Super Typhoon Yolanda.  —KBK, GMA News
