Lacson, 73, says he's healthy enough to handle presidency

Senator Panfilo Lacson on Monday said he is healthy enough to weather the pressure and demands of the presidency if ever he wins in the 2022 local and national elections.

"Kayang-kaya [ang trabaho] kasi yung huling wellness test ko, sa ating physical test, 'yung lumabas na body age ko dun is 51 years old," said Lacson, who will turn 74 in June, during Super Radyo dzBB's "Ikaw Na Ba? The Presidential Interviews."

Lacson, a former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief before entering politics, said he neither drinks nor smoke. "Wala akong bisyo (I don't have vices)," he said.

"Age doesn't matter if it doesn't show and if you do not feel it," the aspirant added.

Lacson's 2022 campaign centers on good governance, anti-corruption, and budget reforms. He is running in tandem with Senate President Vicente Sotto III.  —KBK, GMA News
