Caretaker asks for stop to lies, threats in Lolo Narding's stolen mangoes case

By GMA News

The caretaker of the property where Lolo Narding picked mangoes has asked bashers to stop spreading lies and sending threats to his family after the 80-year-old was recently arrested and detained for theft.

According to a Balitang Amianan report on "24 Oras", Robert Hong said he was surprised when the warrant of arrest for the senior citizen was released since he was about to withdraw his case.

Hong said the mangoes Lolo Narding took from the property wasn't 10 kilos but filled 10 woven bamboo baskets or kaing.

Lolo Narding, who was freed on bail with help from people who heard of his detention despite his age, said he was ready to apologize.

His arraignment is set on February 8. —NB, GMA News
