PNP records 111 new COVID-19 cases

The Philippine National Police (PNP) recorded 111 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total tally of coronavirus infections among its personnel to 48,086.

Of this number, 1,597 are active cases, data from the PNP Health Service showed.

The PNP said 207 new recoveries were tallied, thus the total recoveries reached 46,363.

The death toll meanwhile remained at 126.

Meanwhile, the PNP said only 0.42% of its personnel, or 933, remain unvaccinated against COVID-19 as of Sunday at 12:01 a.m. Of this number, 456 have valid reasons why they could not receive a vaccine against COVID-19.

A total of 218,284 or 96.93% of the 225,195 active PNP personnel have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Those who are partially vaccinated represent 2.65%.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 17,382 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the nationwide tally to 3,528,796. 

Based on the DOH’s latest bulletin, active cases stood at 213,587.

The DOH said recoveries climbed by 35,382 to 3,261,338 while 70 new fatalities pushed the death toll to 53,871. —KG, GMA News
