In November 2021, Carlos said the PNP will relocate personnel who have connections with aspirants in the May 9, 2022 polls.

This is part of a crackdown on cops allowing themselves to be hired as personal bodyguards of politicians, according to Carlos.

Earlier, the PNP also discouraged all police personnel from engaging in partisan politics. —LBG, GMA News
