De Lima seeks prayers for mom who tested positive for COVID-19

Senator Leila de Lima on Wednesday appealed for prayers after her ailing mother tested positive for coronavirus disease.

In a dispatch from Camp Crame, the detained senator said her mom is now in critical condition in a hospital in Iriga City.

"My 89-year old Mom, who tested positive for COVID-19 three weeks ago, is now in critical condition in our local hospital in Iriga City. Her cardio-pulmonary systems [are] now failing. I ask for prayers," she wrote.

De Lima is detained at PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City for drug charges which her camp had called "trumped up." She is also seeking a second six-year term at the Senate this 2022 polls.—AOL, GMA News
