10 more PNP personnel test positive for COVID-19; total now at 48,739

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday reported 10 new COVID-19 cases among its personnel, which brought its total coronavirus infections to 48,739.

Based on the PNP data, 48,353 have already recovered from the disease, while 258 are still active cases.

The death toll due to COVID-19 in PNP remained at 128.

Meanwhile, a total of 219,486 (97.60%) of PNP personnel are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19; 4,595 (2.04%) are still awaiting their second dose; and 105,175 (47.92%) have received booster shots.

The PNP said 794 (0.36%) personnel have yet to be vaccinated.

On Monday, the Philippines reported 3,050 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the country's total case count to 3,637,280. Of the number, 81,394 are still active cases.

The death toll remained at 54,930 as the Department of Health reported zero new fatality due to technical issues in extracting data from COVID Kaya. â€”Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
