CARMMA holds Valentine’s Day protest over dismissal of Bongbong DQ cases

By JOVILAND RITA,GMA News

The Campaign Against the Return of the Marcoses and Martial Law (CARMMA) on Monday held a protest at the Commission on Elections after the disqualification petitions against presidential aspirant former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. were dismissed.

Protesters raised Valentine’s Day-themed placards with texts: “Disqualify Marcos", “Comelec, walang puso (heartless), “Comelec, heartbreaker”.

“Anong move on-move on? Walang pagmomove on sa isang magnanakaw, convict, at sinungaling na tulad ni Marcos Jr., at ngayong Valentine’s Day, tuloy ang aming panawagan: #DisqualifyMarcos!,” it said.

(There is no "moving on" from a thief, convict, and liar like Marcos Jr. And this Valentine’s Day, we will continue to call for Marcos' disqualification.)

In an earlier statement, CARMMA said they would use all legal measures to appeal against the Comelec-First Division's decision.

“We will exhaust all legal remedies to challenge the decision of the Comelec First Division — and we will take the fight not only in the courts but also in the streets,” it said.

“We will not surrender in this battle to thwart a Marcos restoration and Duterte extension.” — DVM, GMA News
