Sara mum on Walden's tirades, says she has personal reasons for not attending debates

Vice presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte remains mum on the criticisms thrown against her for not attending debates related to Eleksyon 2022.

At a press conference in Davao City on Monday, Duterte was asked for her comment on the tirades of another vice presidential candidate Walden Bello against her and running mate, Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

During the CNN Vice Presidential debate, Bello called Duterte a coward for not attending the debate. Bello also said Marcos and Duterte's practice of skipping the debates was an "undemocratic gesture

"Yes, my team and I are currently discussing that item so I will not comment on that as of yet," Duterte said.

The Davao mayor said she has her own reason for skipping the debate but she refused to disclose it.

"May reason ako but I do not want to say it to the public what the reason is. We are discussing it with my team and drafting a statement. As of now, no comment muna," she said.—AOL, GMA News
