GUIGUINTO, Bulacan - The camp of presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is still hoping for the endorsement from President Rodrigo Duterte in the May 9 elections.

“We're still hopeful and waiting for the very valuable endorsement from the President,” lawyer Vic Rodriguez, Marcos’ spokesperson, told reporters.

“Sana ay i-endorso niya si (We are hoping he will endorse) presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos and of course our vice presidential candidate Mayor Inday Sara Duterte,” he added.

Marcos is the running mate of Duterte’s daughter, vice presidential aspirant Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

Last Friday, the Chief Executive quipped that it is up to Filipino voters to choose which Ilocano will lead the country after he steps down from office.
