CIDG to file complaint vs 8 suspects in missing sabungeros case on Friday

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) will file on Friday a complaint against eight suspects in the disappearances of cockfight enthusiasts, its spokesperson said on Wednesday.

In a text message to GMA News Online, CIDG spokesperson Police Lieutenant Colonel Marissa Bruno said their group is preparing the filing of the complaint.

“Pinaghahandaan ng CIDG ang pagsasampa ng kaso laban po sa walong suspects itong darating na  Biyernes (The CIDG is preparing for the filing of cases against eight suspects this coming Friday),” she said.

On March 9, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said kidnapping and serious illegal detention complaints will be filed against six security personnel over the disappearances at the Manila Arena.

The CIDG on March 4 said a witness identified six suspects in the disappearances of cockfight enthusiasts in Manila.

CIDG director Police Brigadier General Eliseo Cruz said the witness implicated 14 persons in the disappearances.

The police are looking into six cases involving 31 missing cockfight enthusiasts: one case in Manila, four in Laguna, and one in Batangas.—AOL, GMA News
