NBI looking for man who bought baby for P45,000

The National Bureau of Investigation is looking for the man who paid P45,000 for a distraught mother's eight-month-old baby.

According to John Consulta's report on "24 Oras", the mother assured that the money he paid would be returned.

NBI Director Eric Distor urged the buyer to return the child as soon as possible.

"Ibalik mo yan. Ibabalik rin 'yung nagastos mo. Kung hindi hahanapin ka namin," Distor said.

“Nandito ang tunay na ina, umiiyak. Agents hanapin ninyo,” he added.

The mother sought the help of the National Bureau of Investigation after she sold her eight-month-old baby for P45,000 so she could pay her e-sabong debts.

“Sana po makipag-tulungan na po siyang ibalik ang anak namin. Ibabalik naman po ang pera. Hindi ko na po gagawin ang ginawa ko po,” the mother said. —Mel Matthew Doctor/NB, GMA News
