Isko Moreno: Unity won't resolve a person's hunger

By GMA News

A hungry person can't eat unity, presidential candidate Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said on Thursday.

At campaign stop, Moreno was discussing the need for candidates answering questions from the public when he was asked about an aspirant instead calling for people to come together in unity.

"Ang salitang pagkakaisa hindi makakaresolba ng gutom ng tao. 'Pag wala nang masasaing ang tao, hindi masasaing ang pagkakaisa. 'Pag wala nang mauulam ang tao, hindi mauulam ang pagkakaisa," Moreno said.

"You may choose to please ears... pero ako kasi I try to live in the real world," he added.

Moreno didn't mention names but presidential candidate former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is running on a platform of unity.

Marcos' tandem with his running mate Davao City mayor and their Senate slate have been tagged as the UniTeam.

Marcos had been skipping most of the presidential forums, and is expected to again miss the Comelec-organized debate on Saturday. —NB, GMA News
